Bed time

Subject: Bed time Wed Aug 11, 2010 7:44 am

Arthur silently sipped his tea. It was a nice evening. He glanced over at the clock. 9pm. This meant bed time. Xiang knew this all too well. The moment Arthur put down his teacup the other would dissappear. Arthur sighed tiredly. Not again. "Xiang? Where are you?" He asked as he walked up to the living room where he had been earlier.

Nope, no Xiang. Arthur sighed deeply. He was tired himself too. He just wanted to get this over with it, in a few minutes. Matthew had never been like this and Alfred was easy to handle with a story about Heroes but Xiang, he was a real pain in the butt when it came to bed tim.

The brit walked up to the hallway. "Xiang! Come here this instant!" He called out. He waited. And waited. Where had he run off to this time. Arthur made his way back to the kitchen and looked around. Not here. Not in the living room. Where, oh where was Xiang? Arthur really didn't feel like playing hide and seek now. "Xiang, time for bed, you know that! Come here." He said, but wondered if it was going to help.

Xiang was sitting in the living room when he heard Arthur ask where he was. Glancing up at the clock, he noticed it was 9pm, the time Arthur tried make him go to bed. It never worked, really, because he always hid in the strangest places to try to avoid sleep. This night, he hid in the the kitchen, in one of the food cupboards. He heard him stomp into the kitchen and stomp out. Xiang snickered, because he hadn't decided to look through any of the cupboards.

This was one of his better hiding spots, because he had food here. He could go for a really long time hiding sometimes, and he would always get hungry and come out near the end, making Arthur find him and putting him to bed. Xiang could last the entire night in this cupboard.

"Come here."

Xiang heard Arthur trying to find him and he said, quietly, "Good luck with that."

Arthur sighed deeply. "Xiang, This is everything but funny, come here." Unfortunately, nothing moved. Maybe he was. Could it be? Arthur got his hopes up and run upstairs to Xiangs bedroom to find it empty. Guess it was too good to be true. He looked everywhere in his bedroom and then went to his own. Both not there either.

He decided to start downstairs in then go up. So he stumbled downstairs again. He started in the cellar. It took him awhile, but there was no one either. He then searched through the hall, behind things inside boxes. Where oh where was he? Then he noticed an openstanding closet in the kitchen.

Arthur sneaked to it and pulled it open more. "Ha got cha!" He said smirking. Only to find a closet with only pans. Arthur twitched. "Xiang!" He yelled. "Come here!" He wandered off to the living room and bend down to look under the couch.

Xiang opened a bag of candy he found in the pantry and munched quietly, hearing Arthur call and stomp around the entire house for him. This was entertaining. He considered going to bed early one night just to surprise him, but then he realized that Arthur would start to expect that of him and he didn't want that. He wondered where in the house Arthur was looking for him. He didn't expect him to look in a place like this, even if it was obvious.

He just wished he had some sort of light here. Since the sun had already set a while ago, he didn't expect any sort of light to come under the cracks of the door. Maybe there was something in here that could help him. Moving slowly as to not make too much noise, he tried to test how much space he had in the cupboard.

So he was not under the couch either. He looked behind the curtains. There not either. Arthur worked his way up. It took him awhile, but after a long time he had searched through the entire house. From the cellar to the attick and no Xiang. Arthur sighed in defeat. He was tired now.

He rubbed his eyes and yawned as he wandered back downstairs. "Xiang..." He sighed. He had been calling out to him every two minutes. "Please, for one day...can't you just come out?" He asked him tiredly. Not knowing where he was or if he could even hear it. He looked once again in the kitchen before getting some tea. He needed some, really.

He sat down on the couch. He had given up. Sighing deeply as he looked at the clock. 11pm. Geez this was taking too long. Arthur felt himself sink down on the couch. Closing his eyes. Just a few minutes, of rest. Just for a few minutes.

Xiang heard footsteps in the kitchen and stopped moving around. He heard Arthur make some tea, and walk out to the living room. He stayed still for ten more minutes, and he didn't hear any more stomping or yelling. Xiang got out carefully, checking to see if it was all clear. Walking into the living room, he saw Arthur sleeping on the couch.

He had an idea. He ran upstairs as quietky as he coukd and grabbed a marker from his room, then running back downstairs and tiptoed into the living room. He uncapped the marker and stood over Arthur with his tongue out in thought and concentration.

Arthur had fallen asleep. He wondered since when the couch was this soft. He heard something far away. "nngh...Francis not today." He mumbled to himself as he curled up. It was something he said automatically. Francis would sneak into his house and want to have a little fun.
He was too tired to get up and check who had ran upstairs, instead he fell back asleep. Cuddling onto a pillow. Dreaming about fairies and what not. It was a nice to finally lie down and sleep. He was totally forgetting about Xiang at this point.

An extra eyebrow here—he doesn't need it—a mustache, a goatee... Xiang was busy and doodling all over Arthur's face, trying not to wake him up. He mentioned something about a fairy and giggled in his sleep, which was a bit creepy, because really, who dreams about fairies?

While he was drawing another eye on Arthur's eyelide, he found himself getting kind of sleepy. He then stood up straight and told himself not to give up. He took a few candies from his pocket (which he had taken) and chewed on them, trying to keep himself up using a sugar high.

Arthur giggled. "nggh...tickles." He mumbled as something was going over his face. He dreamed it was tiny fairy too. "ngh...stop." he said and rolled over. Which resulted to knock himself on the floor. "Ouch- bollocks."He gripped to his head. That hurt. Where was he again? Oh right in his living room.

Then he noticed someone standing there. He tried to get up but his back and head hurt like hell. Besides he was still sleepy. Too sleepy to realize that it was Xiang. He got up and the two pair of feet. Were gone. Then it struck him. "XIANG!!!" He yelled.
