(Ooc: This thread is England, Seychelles, HK and America only, sorry)

Arthur walked down the streets. He wasn't really a big fan of splitting up but it was better for now. They would find the other nations faster this way. After deviding the town into two parts, Arthur had left with Victoria. He wished he could've teamed up with Lars, he was more handy in this situation, but it was at least better than Lovino. And leaving Victoria wiht just Lovino, gosh she'd never survive. Arthur didn't really mind it that much. He at least could get along with her.

The Brit walked next to her, he shyly took her hand. He blushed a bit as he did. "Don't worry, everything will be all right." He told her, it was more directly to himself, trying to calm down. He sounded unsure. He didn't know what might lie ahead. He wondered if the rest was doing okay.

'Would Francis be okay?' he thought. He immediately mentally slapped himself. He didn't care about the frog. Sure he would be okay, he was France. He had survived many things, he also like Arthur had gone through a lot. He would also survive this. Still he wanted to know if he was okay. He would find him probably.

It was getting colder, the mist was thick and everything was dark and so silent. It was scary but also lonely. He looked at Victoria, she was wearing the familiar blue dress, that's also how he had found her. Smiling back as he remembered it. Though that smile dropped because Francis had showed up after that. He hated Francis so much! He hated that he liked him! Arthur looked for something to talk about. He felt a cold breeze. "A-are you cold?" the Brit asked as he blushed lightly, trying to offer her his jacket.

Back outside, the sun was up a bit higher over the horizon, but it was still very chilly. When the four of them decided to split up, Victoria chose to go with Arthur over Lars or Lovino. Why did they need to split up in the first place, it would be safer with a larger group, right? Still quite tired, she didn't bother to think it over much more than that. Might as well be with someone you know when walking the deserted streets, though. Victoria looked around, passing buildings, cars, and signs she already went by on the way to the building where she and Lars had found Arthur and Lovino. No use walking around here again, she thought while taking a turn, now on a street facing the cloud-cutting sunlight.

Walking past more abandoned buildings, Victoria looked up to see more of the sun disappearing and the clouds growing thicker. She tried to hold back her shivers until something warm suddenly took her hand. Almost jumping out of her skin, she saw it was just Arthur's hand in hers. His soft warm hand. She had nearly forgotten he was walking along side her until then, considering both were quieter than a mouse on the just as mute road. Then, Victoria looked up as he broke the silence by telling her everything was going to be fine. She nodded to herself assuringly, there was nothing to be afraid of so far besides the fact that she had been kidnapped and dropped off here...and the unknown identity of said person, people...or things. There was also that green fog earlier...

She shook away the thought and shivered at the same time. Why should I be scared?! I've seen scarier animals at home than anything in this empty city of freezing nothing! Home. Victoria has only been independent for a few decades, nothing compared to the number of years she's been under others as a colony. The British. The French before that. Who knew where Francis, whom she received her name from, was around here. The city didn't seem too big. But it certainly wasn't a cute little town either. Her home was a cute little town. Not a village but it wasn't as big as this metropolitan city. There wasn't a single tree for the past ten blocks. Back home, there were thousands of trees, dancing in the warm breeze.

The chill of this city didn't seem much like a breeze anymore and more like a gust. Victoria let go of Arthur's hand to wrap her arms around herself, now shivering violently. She heard him say something, but she couldn't tell what due to the ringing in her ears. Next thing she knew, she was now wearing his jacket.

"Aren't you going to be cold?" she asked as she hesitantly put her arms through the sleeves. As she looked up at him, she saw a large grocery store some meters behind him.

Arthur looked at Victoria. "Don't worry about it, I'm fine." He said with a faint smile. They continued walking. Arthur was used to the cold rain back in London, so this was nothing. Besides he was stronger than she was, he could bear with it.
And awkward silence had fallen. He rubbed his arms. Not because of the cold but the nervousness. "Ah uhm, Victoria, I was wondering..."

He waited for her happy yes, but nothing came. He blinked. The mist had grew thicker so he could barely say anything. "Are you still there?" he asked nervously. Still no answer. He rummaged through his back and found his wand. It was a toy wand, don't ask why he has it, that's private! he shone with it.

Bollocks. He had lost Victoria. He was supposed to watch over her. He had lost her now. Great, I can baby sit on like what? 5 colonies, but a teenager i can't even look over for 5 seconds. Arthur shook his head and walked back towards the stores and decided to look for her there.

Escaping the thickening gray fog, Victoria walked inside what was a grocery store. A gigantic one in her case, but it was of average size. She stayed near the entrance, waiting for Arthur to follow her inside, while browsing the wide variety of magazines she had never seen before. Ten minutes had passed and Arthur never came in the store. Victoria didn't notice though since she was sitting on a stack of boxes, caught up in a fishing magazine.

When she was done looking through the magazine cover to cover, Victoria got up and walked to the very left of the building where she saw something she couldn't believe. It was just the produce section. But to her it was much more. Back home, she loved fruit even more than she loved fish, so she searched for her favorite fruits in the many crates and the long shelf. However, she found so many more fruits and vegetables that she had never heard of before. For instance, there were the cranberries, zucchini, and pears. Victoria was astonished by everything she saw. While she leaned over trying to reach for a vegetable from the back of the shelf, the timed produce sprinklers just above head went off. This made her get back up spontaneously, now with a cool mist on her head and back.

After eating a banana, Victoria continued on and walked down a long aisle. The shelves were stocked with hundreds of boxes of...cereal. Looking at the many colorful labels of children's cereal and promising slogans of weight-loss kinds, she was mesmerized by how many brands of cereal there were. She looked behind her, and, sure enough, there was gallons and gallons of milk for the cereal at the back of the store. The banana was a decent enough breakfast for her though. As she went down the rest of the aisle, she passed many flavors of granola bars, loaves of bread, and something that was called "toaster strudels," whatever that was.

She turned and walked down another aisle until she saw some toys hanging from a rack. She walked closer to them to take a closer look of what they were, and she realized they were small Peter Pan rag dolls. There was also a Tinker Bell one with "pixie dust" inside it. A sigh was let out. Victoria didn't really believe in magic anymore now, but she remembered when she did. A time when everything was magical and the truth of the world was a mystery. Once, Arthur told little Victoria of the stories and adventures of the young never aging boy by the name of Peter Pan and the pirate Captain Hook. The magic loving British man seemed very interested when telling the girl about the magical little fairy Tinker Bell. Victoria loved to hear about the mystical place called Neverland, listening to the description of the island that was almost as beautiful as hers. This was all when she was a child. When innocence was bliss. But now that she was older, knowledge was power.

Victoria turned toward the entrance wide eyed. She'd been here for what seemed like an hour and Arthur was nowhere to be found. Had he even noticed her leave? Was he happy to finally get her off of his hands? She sat down against the shelf and placed her face in the palms of her hands. I'm all alone again. Alone. Alone. Whoever brought me to this abandoned assortment of buildings you call a city is going to come back and find me because I don't have any backup. She couldn't stand not being around faces she knew, or at least people she was sure wasn't going to hurt her. Even back home on her small islands she wasn't alone; she had the animals and the small, friendly population that would always greet her with a warm smile and work together as a community should. But here. Unless you were physically next to a group of close people you had to trust, it was every man for themselves in this concrete jungle. Yeah, Victoria would probably be able to fight what ever brought her here, but she wasn't quite sure what she was up against in the first place.

Then she heard something on the other side of the shelves. It sounded like the squeaking of grocery cart wheels. Victoria got up and walked near the end of the aisle and listened closer. She hadn't heard Arthur enter the front door so it couldn't be him. Was someone else here too?

Xiang had been wandering around the abandoned town for a while, looking around for more nations; maybe they knew what was going on? Wandering around for that long was starting to make him hungry, however, and not a moment too soon, he had stumbled upon a grocery store. He took a step inside quietly and cautiously, wondering if there was anyone else.

He walked around the aisles, trying to find a good snack when he heard footsteps. Was someone else in here? Xiang froze, not moving, and hearing the footsteps fading away, he moved slowly throughout the store again, hoping to find some food. Finally, he managed to find an entire shelf of food. He saw a shopping cart lying around, and he decided that he would use it, put food in it, and push it into a back storage room so he could camp out here a bit longer. He pushed the cart and cringed at the loud squeak that came from it, but used it nonetheless; he was alone anyway, wasn't he?

—Apparently not, because when he pushed the cart closer to the edge of the aisle he heard footsteps. He stopped pushing the cart, and watched the edge of the aisle for any more movement.

Maybe it was another nation? Another nation that knew what was going on? Xiang wanted to call out and ask if the owner of the footsteps was really another nation, but he didn't want to attract attention to himself, lest it be the person who had brought him here. So he stayed completely still, and continued to watch the aisle.

Victoria continued to take quiet steps toward the end of the aisle. Whether it was a friend or a foe on the other side of the product lined shelf, she would not let them anticipate her appearing. As she inched closer and closer to the corner with her back against the wall, Victoria's heart started to race. Finally, she closed her eyes, pulled her knife from her pocket, and turned around. Her eyes still closed, she heard a voice but wasn't able to detect who it was as her pulse was getting quite loud in her ears.

She opened her eyes, looked up, and let in a small gasp of air. Dropping the knife out of her hand behind her, Victoria ran over and gave the person a hug. It was her good friend Xiang. He had been under Arthur's care around the same time as Victoria, so they were close friends. However, they had not had any contact in a while since she became independent.

"Xiang is it really you? It's been so long, and I feel like I've been seeing things lately."
She hugged the Asian tighter, making sure he was actually tangible. It was nice to see a friendly face again even after just losing sight of Arthur a few hours ago. "So you got in this mess too, huh?"

Looking at the figure at the end of the aisle, he was surprised to find that it was Victoria—Seychelles; she was one of Arthur's former colonies too, right? Before he had a chance to step out from behind the cart and greet her, she had run to him and hugged him. He stood there (somewhat awkwardly) and greeted her. She started talking about how she was starting to see things, and Xiang wondered what was really happening in this town.

"So, you got in this mess too, huh?"

After she had said that, he was hugged tighter. She probably didn't realize her strength, because what Xiang wanted to say was "Yes, whatever this mess is."

Instead, it came out more like jumbled syllables. "Yehhh, wha'ever 'his mess is—" he stopped talking and looked surprised. Well. He wasn't expecting that. He shook his head and patted Victoria's arm lightly, hoping she would loosen up her hug a bit. He didn't want to get caught off guard by anything lurking around while the two of them were having their little reunion, especially when she had mentioned that she had been seeing things.
