Appearance:
A beautiful young woman with long brown hair and bright green eyes. Her fair skin and feminine curves make her seem far more delicate than she is. In truth her lithe frame hides surprising strength and agility. While she was a tomboy in her youth, Hungary now tends to prefer very feminine clothing. No matter what she's wearing, her outfit is never complete without her two favorite accessories: her trusty cast-iron frying pan and the flowered hair clip that represents lake Balaton

Personality:

Hungary started life as a gender-confused, violent, nomad warrior, and somehow wound up as a pretty, feminine, nurturing sort of character. The author describes her as both a reliable big sister type, and the manliest character in the comic. I think her personality has, therefore, a certain amount of internal conflict to it.

Most of the time, she is very cheerful and optimistic, and tries to make the best of whatever situation she's in. She is also a very caring person who likes to nurture others. When she was working as a maid in Austria's house, she doted on Italy, looking after him, taking baths with him, and making him clothes. Girl's clothes, but its the thought that counts. And to a girl who grew up thinking she was a boy, cross dressing probably wouldn't seem so odd. She also has a romantic streak and likes to meddle in other people's relationships. This, coupled with her fascination for yaoi, is really just a recipe for disaster. Naturally she does not appreciate other people meddling in her relationship with Austria.

Speaking of her relationship with Austria, that actually had quite an impact on Hungary's life. In her youth, the commonly held misconception was that Hungary was a boy. A very violent and fearsome boy who spent most of 'his' time beating up his neighbors, Austria included. This all ended when her government was brought under the control of Austria's Hapsburg dynasty, and Elizaveta was forced to be a maid in Austria's house. (Well, okay, it was technically the Holy Roman Empire's house, but try telling that to the Hapsburgs.) While initially resistant, Hungary began to enjoy her new life and developed strong feelings for Roderich in the process. Eventually they were married, and even though they were forced to split for political reasons, she still maintains a relationship with him to this day. Thus the violent tomboy of the past became a gentle, feminine, lady.....

.......And if you believe that, there's a bridge I'd like to sell you. Threaten her or anything she cares about and you'll see that she is not as far removed from her warrior days as she appears. That violent, nomadic, warrior lurks just below the surface. She has a short temper, is extremely protective of anyone close to her, and is quick to turn a conflict from words to blows. On the flip side of this coin, Hungary is extremely brave and never hesitates to rush to the rescue for someone she cares about. Interestingly though, she hates to ask for help herself and is very concerned with solving her own problems independently.

Starting location: (There seem to be a lot of people in this RP who are coming out of the closet..... /shot) Hungary will be lying face down in the middle of the road on Main street.

Hungary's entire body felt stiff. That was probably because she was laying on something flat, hard, and uncomfortable. These were the first two pieces of information to reach through the haze of her semi-conscious mind. Cracking her eyes open, she blinked in confusion at what looked like pavement. A road? Why on earth.....

And then it all came back in a rush. The letter, the meeting, the strange location..... She could remember arriving at the designated location, but... nothing afterwards. The personification of Hungary shot to her feet, ignoring the protests of her stiff body and warily gazed at her surrounding, searching for any immediate threats. She appeared to be in the middle of the street in a small deserted town. Alone. The place felt.... strange. Instincts born from centuries of battle and only slightly dulled by modern life told her that this place was wrong. Dangerous.

The meeting had been a trap, that much was obvious now. But why? What could anyone gain by all this? She shook her head, not willing to continue uselessly speculating about things when she had no information. Elizaveta was less a thinker and more a doer anyway. And, luckily, she knew just what to do. Step one find a weapon. Step two find Roderich. Step three find the person or persons responsible for this and maim them horribly. Hungary stretched her stiff muscles and smiled. It was nice to have a plan. Glancing around at the various storefronts, she considered her options for step one. Maybe she could find a hardware store. Or home goods would be nice...

Other Important Information: (Since this is where people seem to be putting significant relationships...)
Roderich Edelstein: Hungary still has strong feelings for her ex-husband, and even now stays by his side. She traded the life of a warrior for that of a lady for his sake, and would do it all over again in an instant.

Gilbert Biellschmidt: Her childhood friend. If asked, she will tell you that he is arrogant, annoying, and that she hates him. Only two of those things are true...

Feliciano Vargas: When she looks at Italy, a part of Hungary will always see that fluffy little boy in a dress that she used to look after. Thus she will always see him as helpless and adorable and clearly in need of her protection. In short, her feelings toward him are very sisterly.
